Why do we love someone who we know doesn’t deserve us? As some people would say, you don’t really choose or contemplate who to love, you just feel it when it comes. But feeling the love towards another person who clearly doesn’t deserve it is a very agonizing and difficult situation to be in. Some would just turn a blind eye and deaf ear and pretend that nothing’s wrong. It is amazing how some people are willing to suffer emotionally just to be with the person they love and it doesn’t matter whether they are being battered both emotionally and physically.

We can be stubborn at times when we love and we don’t really see any faults or shortcomings. What is important is that you are together and from there you can face and overcome any obstacles and difficulties. If we love ourselves, know our capabilities and strengths, feel confident and competent, we won’t feel the need to stick to a person who doesn’t value us. It is very important for us to realize that a one-way relationship will never work no matter how hard we try. It will always be just a matter of time before everything starts to deteriorate and crumble.

Loving someone who doesn’t love you the same way is not only painful emotionally but also psychologically. Just by not having peace of mind and continuously stressing about the relationship is already enough to make you physically ill. It is truly hard and excruciating to love someone who doesn’t value that love. In a relationship, we sometimes need to discern if it is still worth continuing or not. You must know when to hold on and when to let go. You must also learn to love yourself first before you can extend and offer that love to somebody else <3

The kind of love that has reciprocated perfections and lovable flaws, the kind of love that is passionate, dedicated, open minded, heart warming, loving, caring, approachable, family oriented, music loving, church going, goal chasing, beautiful inside and out, wonderful personality, amazing character, honest, intelligent, humorous, respectful, mature, immature, playful and confident kind of love.
